Mary, I still have a lot of diversity in my portfolio... sence I'm still taking my very first steps in this art, exploring macros... landscape, abstracts... and trying still life from time to time... yet I'm still afraid to try portraiture.
all of your comments helps me a lot to see where I can be better and try to add something, even if it is a tiny thing to this wonderful world of art.
KaPOW colors! As Adam mentioned, the strong yellows and blue complement each other perfectly. The blur on the upper left petals seems too much for me, although I'm not sure how to have corrected that and leave the rest of the DOF as is.
I looked through your portfolio, and you sure seem to have a wide range of wonderful images, a lot of diversity. Your website is cool.
I don't see any scanning issues here. What I do see is an image with wonderful colors. The bluish-white cast on the leaf is a perfect complement to the bright yellow.
I wish I had something more constructive to say, but I don't know how you could make this better. Perhaps a little more space on the right.
