This is a wonderful portrait. I like the use of negative space, the positioning of the arm (although the fingers are ever so slightly distracting - perhaps better if they pointed down or towards the neck?). Is your friend's skin really that smooth? The stray lock of hair also adds some more interest to an immaculate face.
