About	December 16, 2003. Early morning hike along the Canyon View Trail, Zion National Park. Zion in winter is a hidden jewel. Sunlight bounces back from the near cliff wall to create a soft illumination that really enhances the color of the red rock. The light dusting of snow helps, I think.

The composition is strong and the subject interesting. I only wish it had a bit more punch to the color... More of a saturated "Velvia" look.. Of course this could be done by adding some saturation in PS. All that said I like this image.
