Joshua, A very disturbing perspective and interesting deformation. You have a good eye for the unusual.

Definitely a fun photo. From what I understand, abstract is when the image we're viewing (or sculpture or whatever) is an abstracted representation of something. This really isn't abstracted representation of anything. It's very clearly shadow and stairs and street.
I only say this because I was brutally schooled by my wife when I called something abstract that was non-representational art. Figured I'd try to pass along the info.
Anyway, I like the shot a lot. I've got an AE-1. Great camera. They're freakin' tanks. Nice and heavy. Can't break them. All of the lines are so conflicting, it's great.
What I like about this image is that I feel as though I'm about to fall down the stairs. It's definitely off balanced. The railing and shadows move up and left. The side of the staircase moves up and to the right. And then, of course, the steps themselves break that up. Very nice.

Yeah, This is good. and straight horisont would be cool too, when your shadow is distorted there. But this is good and yeah, I use allways flash in my 16mm pics, cause' there's not light so much and light get always cool shadow and I like shadows. fillflash is important too. AE-1 is very very good body.

I like it a lot as well. Great idea. I have an old Canon AE-1 as well. It was my dads, but he hardly used it. I was going to start using it, but since I know nothing about photography yet I didn't want to waste a lot of money on developing pictures that were no good. Anyway, you're a tall man my friend :)
