as the newer sleek building encroach on the prewar monoliths in downtown jersey city, at least some developers have the right idea by reusing and recycling classic structures and allowing them to stand tall next to the new glass monsters that clog the landscape.
I very much like your framing of the old building, with its nice arched windows and highly-detailed facade, next to the glass-and-steel, rectalinear monolith. A wonderful composition as well as an effective social/architectural commentary.
As a suggestion, I might like to see the older building a bit lighter. Are you planning to shoot more of this pair of buildings? I'd bet there are lots more possibilities at different times of the day.
BTW, I know Jersey City a bit... I went to college next door in Hoboken! Long live Hudson County! :-)
