After reading your comments on my heron photo, I had to go and check out yours! First of all, congratulations on getting such a great close-up! How far away was this bird? Were you at the end of your zoom? Anyway, I think this is my favourite of your 4 heron shots. I feel this photo has the best composition and is the most well-balanced. The soft refelctions/sparkles on the water provide a wonderful background. I like your Blue Heron #4 shot too, but because the water is a bit too bright, it lacks this particular impact. :)
I love to see this in B&W. Very nice shot Jim. Excellent depth of field and composition. Wonderful tones, but it gould use a little more sharpness.....Best regards Harry
