Very nice Liz. You definitely have mastered florals. This is simple, elegant and beautiful. You have perfect exposure on the petals too, especially considering you had a black background. Great work.

Liz; very nice and creative view of a peony. I think lighting and detail are excellent as it's often difficult to get good exposure with such a high contrast scene. Re the black background question I asked, apparently you are using either spot metering or maybe centerweighted metering both of which would give good flower exposure and a darkened bg (if the bg is naturally dark).
