About Shot in midday light, at the hyperfocal distance, and on tripod. The light was pretty good and I found a small pool of water that threw off a clear reflection. Location: Near Bow Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.

Kenneth - A glance through your portfolio reveals a real fascination with reflections. I like them, too. I like this one a lot, and when I first saw it I thought"Aha - hyperfocal" Good job - Bob T.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments. To answer Larry's questions, I did do some PS work. I adjusted levels and colour blanace, and used the channel mixer, which gave me more flexibility than just playing with saturation. The slide did have some pretty nice colours to begin with though, EBX is pretty saturated. The vignetting effect at the bottom left is probably the result of using a polarizer on a wide angle lens; some areas of the sky (or its reflection) alwyas turn out too dark. It bothers me quite a bit and I wish the blue had filled out right to the corner.

Quite a spectacular scene, beautifully composed. I'm curious as to what photoshop manipulation was done, if any (saturation?). Those are some pretty vivid colors! Also, some darkness in three of the corners give the image sort of a vignetted look, I'm wondering what caused that.

Midday light? No problem. Nice moody light, clouds, color and use of space. The grass doesn't bother me at all. The reflection certainly is the icing on the cake. Well done Kenneth.

Absolutely amazing! Great landscape shot. I think i like the pretty wide angle you used. Is that standard for landscape shots, to use a short lens? I haven't decided if I like the weeds on the close side of the pond though...could be nicer without them.
