Hi Alan, this picture gives me great memories. I love Sydney and all about it. Love to sit on that restaurant bye the Opera. Last time I were there I shot this photo http://foto.no/cgi-bin/bildekritikk/vis_bilde.cgi?id=66977
Sydney is a long way from Norway but its worth each travel hour a thousands times, regards Jostein

Good work. Also interesting to contrast with Petros' shot taken under quite different conditions from the next level down.

this is excellent Alan, I love how this simple insignificant seagull gets so much attention as it fights with the magnificant famous aussie structure in the background! what a riot. Love it.

cheers,
nicole

Hi Alan, I have not seen this more intimate view of the Opera House with the walkway leading into the picture. Very beautiful. Usually see the high angle - from the bridge, I suppose.
I hear ya on the joy of music and art/photography. Like your work. Cheers, Leora.

What is so amazing about the Opera house is that so many tourists take the shot while it is covered by cloud (it turns a nasty grey) - instead of waiting 10 seconds for the cloud to clear and to see the brilliant white, like in this photo.

Very nice. The bird is placed in tthe right spot. well done. Bit too bright though. I would reduce the brightness a bit.
