The symmetry is what's so visually attractive about this image. The foreground can be cropped further, IMO, just enough to get rid of the two logs. For some reason that I can't further define, there is kind of a gloomy color cast to the whole picture. It might be the scan. Nevertheless, it's an attractive photograph.

this is a lovely peaceful scene. Would like to know where it is located. I like the color but the composition has some distracting elements. the branch in the middle and the building on the left too close to the border. Also the foreground is distracting from the main subjects.
