Thank you Dave for your comment. This was not an Air show but three WW2 airplanes flying into the DuPage County airport. There was a B24, B17 and P51. One could get a half hour flight for lots of cash. $425 (US) for the B17 or B24 (8 people minim) or $2,200 (US) for the P51

John Thank you for your comment. I though I saw a sign by the airport stating it was the last B24 flying. I could very easily be wrong because I do not research such facts. Think about this I think the sign said B24-J.

Mahamed - I looked at a close up of the fuselage and they seem to be names of people who work on this aircraft or contributed finance to keep the airplane flying. The other side did not have all these names. Also this airplane was build late in WW2 and did not see much action, therefore they repainted it in several different war colors.

Nice shot of the old warbird, Alvin! Which airshow was this at?

Good capture of this war bird. Not sure it is the only one of its type flying as the collins foundation and CAF each fly one

Nice shot, Alvin. I have seen many photos of this warbird but none with so much stenciling on the fuselage! I wonder what those are?

Cheers
