Thanks Bjorn, the really funny thing is that we tried holding the sword at different angles but this was the most convincing - it has to look like you are intending to use it, rather than just looking pretty. The other really funny thing is about the muscles, James said exactly the same thing as you "damn, I should have flexed them more". Looks like changing colourspaces has lifted the highlights slightly too far which is a shame.
Good photo. I think though that the sword could be highlighted a little more, perhaps by holding it in a different way, not sure. Also, the light washed out his upper arm a bit, it would be great if it had a little more contrast there, and if he flexed his muscles so that the triceps would be clearly visible. This would give the photograph an even more threatening feel I think.
