Yes, "Gotcha!" and what a "Gotcha!" it is, Dave! The DoF exactly restricted onto the animal, so that its details appear so vivid between a forefround and a background which are both so out of focus that... the subject of interest can really reign in its own scene, its own natural surroundings. I guess that the green and grey hues of that "surroundings" do play a significant role her, as we readily connect them with forests and woods, the animal's natural habitate. And then we have those great brown tones and the good gradients on the animal itself, which tell us also about its own special tension in that moment. The image is very alive this way - not only "natural" but alive, As if I was looking at it in real behind the cover of some camouflage...
Such a good approach to natural life!
