This is a lovely and peaceful shot Steve, this is definitely a tranquil effect to viewing it! I even like the way you've not cropped more of the photo on the left, as it makes for a more interesting composition. The colours and details in the flower are very good, and it is nicely in focus. I think a nice even light on the flower would have helped a bit better, however, the composition and depth of field can't get much better, and the purple really stands out against the green background :)
