yes, i guess Nick. it is were the uncalculated essence of all the un-calculated and the un-thought lieth!! isn't it!? i mean, how can one own oneself when that one is split in more than one!!?
isn't it the luck of the hunter (after having shot no dear) caught a fish in desperation!?
beside, what makes one care to care for what that one sees?
expecting understanding, i happen to find a very bourgeois deed- and reflection very intimate, almost uncommunicative. ... and, after that some arrogant destitute.
quite something to think about~
cheers, v.

Hi Visar and thanks a lot for the informative reply!
Such images have always a very personal story, don't they? I can imagine how the special circumstances made the shot itself special - and even the waterdrop has its own meaning then.
In such cases, I think, even a small series of the same subject and scene is also some kind of a small photo exposition for the own self. It always plays a big role in one's mind.
Cheers!
Nick

Hi Nick, and many thanks for your detailed comment and for pointing out most crutial point of this work.
i have to let you know that this shot i have done in an early morning, as i was passing by, from the car, doing my official work (which means that i would not ask them to stop the car, they would not understand). it was snowing and despite the fact that i tried to wash away the melting snow flakes i could not help it. thus, on the perimeter where you see that fuzzy contrast and washed out shape of the tree, was a little drop of water that produced this result.
regarding the bird, it is an eagle, and it is huge, really. i happen to see it sitting on the same tree (never on the other) many times i passed by. so, in a way you could say i was expecting this shot, i had it already built up in my head, so i was only waiting for the chance. and this day was really good for that purpose. in addition, i happen to see this same bird sitting there over different weather conditions- unfortunately, i did not have the camera with me!!
maybe some other time, i will make the same shot under different weather conditions, more luxurious as you say. would be nice, i guess.
cheers to you, v.

But the good photography doesnĄ't need any "memories", for as I see it is always fresh and alive in such images, Visar! About the composition there can be no doubt. Perfect! Just a few things, just the necessary things, which also brings a relation to the "empty" winter landscape as opposed to the more "luxurious" version of a the same landscape in warmer times of the year. And as the light also enhances the "whiteness" of the icy essence of that time and the frozen air feel, we can do no different but really feel the cold of it.
I am a bit frustrated, nonetheless, since the (very) black trunks in such a good contrast to the white seem to gradually evolve to washed out shapes as we follow the tree to the height. How did you included both string and fuzzy contrasts in one and the same image? Any hints for that?
Anyway, the bird surely does much here. It looks huge in some way, strange, unexpected in that size. It is recognizable as a bird but it looks so gigantic in a visual comparison to the sizes of the other few objects. It dominates the image, though it doesn't occupy such a big part of it. And in form of a black silhouette it does the job very well.
Remarkable again!
Nick
