How many degrees would you turn that object in order to get an indistingushable view? Right, it is 2π/6. So it has a sixfold rotational symmetry axis. Hexagonal, isn't it. It also has a threefold rotational symmetry axis and a twofold too, but the smallest angle is responsible for the symmetry characterization.
