We are having so much rain, but, oh my, it does make the forest green! Taken during a light drizzle. There are three treatments of this subject posted.
Behrouz, thanks for your comments. I will attach a copy of the image after basic editing, but prior to making more radical tonal adjustments to produce a low key effect. I used Adobe Lightroom for basic adjustments and left the image somewhat bright and low in contrast and then finished off in Photoshop. Here I used a "Low-key" filter which is part of Nik Software's Color-efex Pro 3.0. The filter is a convenience only because this effect could also be created with tonal changes, contrast, selective luminance in Lightroom or other editors. I think that it is a matter of knowing where you want to go with it! With the use of filter presets, one does get to entertain some ideas and possibilities that one would otherwise not imagine! I think this scene had the inherent "magical woods" quality in it and that is why I went to the trouble of photographing it in the rain! Eb
so magical, could you please tell me which effects you have used on this, if you don't mind?! this is so great, i wish i could take a make a photo like that. regards, Behrouz
