Harry is right Nick, but partly I think. There's also the reddish pole above and the contrasting yellow bin in the background which, together with the figure against the sky, provide a sense of depth next to or past the flat view of the locomotive. The suggestion of depth is enough for the viewer to imagine the line of train trucks behind the locomotive. Creative work! Joggie

Alter Fuchs, I have been thinking a long time about this image. I concluded it is in balance via the color red. The red of the train is balanced by the tiny small object in red on the perron, left lower corner. Thats all it needs. Harry
