This IS TOTALLY COOL JD - what an awesome shot - I love it - you could also have used the 'Big & Little' catagory ...but it most certainly is Totally Cool ! Great textures , exposure, shadow and crop - This is a Stunner !! 7/7 Cheers Mate, M~

Thanks Stan for your comment. I have attached another pic, showing the people at the top of the rim to give you the scale of the sheer walls. As you can see, there is very little evidence of water marks on the rim, indicating the extreme lack of rain in the area. I have found the best time to visit is in the High Summer, which is the off-peak tourist time. The advantage is you get to experience the intense ( dry) heat, but the animals, plants are at their peak. You do need to consume around a liter ( two pints ) of water an hour. Thoroughly recommend it ! Cheers JD

Nice capture, mate!! the colors and perspective of the enormity of the rocks vs. the people is great. Must be a fantastic place. Never been to Australia but am sure I could get use to it quickly!! How much drop off below the subjects?Have a good one, Stan
