But be careful with your travel plans because 100’000 tourists discover every day of the summer high season this beautiful place… and this is definitely not the best time to walk around with a sturdy tripod ;-)

yeah it can be a bit daunting but well worth the effort.. I quite loved the place especially when we had a huge thunderstorm one afternoon.. all the tourists ran away and hid I got shots of St Marks.. empty.. there are some on this site. Love the muted tones of this image.. it portrays another side of Venice, which as you say is intriguing we got lost and found a brilliant restaurant one day whilst there... loved it. Excellent image
