About Trying to get that kind of "forest" as mechanical as possible again by enhancing its rather stright orthogonal lines. Any comments would be very welcome.

Hi Andre and thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment. The pillars in the foreground do play a major role in this iamge but at shooting time their role wasn't as clear to me. I was rather magnetized by the density of all those constructions, without really realizing that I got a rather voyeristic attitude, as you say. It was perhaps some combination of conscious and unconsious way to look at the world, or at that particular scene.

Now, years after the shot, I realize that much better through looking at the image and reading your and Ian's comments. It's really very similar to looking at the world while being behind bars, and perhaps also the constinuation of that, while you look and see only bars extending to infinity.

Thanks a lot for yet another thought in my mind!

Many many thanks for the nice comment, Ian. The effect went stronger than I thought at shooting time, for which I am very grateful too!

Cheers,

Nick

Hi Nick,
As Ian states, the foreground pillars seem to play an important part here in my interpretation. The feeling for me is of being a voyaristic human behind bars, looking out into the mechanical forest. I suppose that the photographer most likely had a similar feeling when shooting this image?

Excellent effect and love the relationship between the foreground pillars and your framing.
