Yes my friend I agree with you...also is really soften the focus ad also for me the grain is too much, but at the end it's a image of the soul and with soul...you know way I mean sometimes in some kind of photos like this one...the quality or the small details are really smallest...Well my friend for me it's a pleasure.- LUIS

No recuerdo haberte contado que estuve cinco días en Misiones a mediados de enero, hice una serie de 1200 fotos en aldeas aboígenes y la BORRE del sitio despues de haberlas subido...era demasiado...conocí a mucha gente amiga adorable, muy inteligente...pero...bueno celebro que estemos en contacto, leíste el libro de que recomendé? Hola Luis! una pasadita rápida por aquí, sigo en mis vacaciones disfrutando de la tranquilidad de "La Boca". Excelentes todas tus últimas fotos!, les di una rápida mirada recién, a mi regreso les prestaré la atención que se merecen!...;-)
Pude ver sin problemas la presentación, espectaculares todas las fotos (algunas más que otras, claro), excelentes esas de un tal Scheverin ja....ja...!, y muy esclarecedoras para mí como parámetros de calidad...en cuanto a los "técnicos" que se equivocaron al hacer el CD, en fin, un error imperdonable!...
Respecto a Frías, es muy probable que lo conozcas, es veterinario, pero hasta donde sé, la fotografía ha sido su afición desde siempre...;-), muy probable que haya pasado por Buenos Aires. El libro que me recomendó y estoy leyendo es "el color" de Betty Edwards, para estudiantes de pintura!...ja...ja...pero muy esclarecedor para mí, recién ahora comienzo a entender esto de la rueda del color, los colores análogos y los complementarios, en fin, ahora la cuestión es cómo conecto estos conocimientos con la herramienta digital...pero como siempre...ya veremos.

Obviamente lo haremos...creo conocerlo a Eduardo...era de mi época inicial (no pasó por el Foto Club Buenos Aires...?) espero que puedas abrir el slideshow (lo hicieron mal) se abre con el EXPLORER , desde adentro del CD...no corre como autorun... si con el flash exe que trae...los programadores del master se equivocaron (vos de eso sabes más que yo.- No creo que tengas dificultades.- En cuanto a esta amistad, es firme y llegó para quedarse, que libro te recomendó Frias... Efectivamente, recibí un primer mail del fotoclub lo cual me dio mucha alegría!, y como te decía, también el CD!
Y para no ser menos que vos, me llevé a "la Boca" un libro muy reconocido sobre "el color", muy orientado a la pintura, que me recomendó Eduardo Frías, probablemente el fotógrafo local más reconocido y presidente del fotoclub Viedma...
Che, Luis, este año tenemos que establecer un vínculo entre el fotoclub de Buenos Aires y el de Viedma, algo tiene que salir que renueve entusiasmos y abra nuevos horizontes, te parece?

Estoy releyendo a Susan Sontag (que leí desde otra actitud) y estoy haciendo un análisis de WALTER BENJAMIN, acerca de la reproductibilidad de la imágen....
Y me voy de nuevo a la aldea... dos años despues...estoy RELOOCOOO...

Oh my dear, what a sad capture. This picture tells indeed a sad story. The kids look in the eyes and the dirty clothing makes this image. It is indeed a dramatic portrait. It is sad that in these days, I mean many countires life in wealth and so on, and these kids can't share. They didn't choose to live like this. Thanks for sharing and opening all our eyes how horrible and cruel this world can be.
Even though I am glad you have made these awards, I am not sure if this was your aim. Well never the less, it indeed has earned it, because it has a journalism documentary view of what is going wrong in the world.

En cuanto a la foto, si es parte de una serie que constituye una de mis muestras y esta la tenúa reservada; probablemente no tiene la "mejor calidad técnica"...fue tomada con película NEOPAN FUJI a 1600 ASA y estaba LLOVIENDO!!!!!!!!! (me mojé hasta los huesos)...fijate el pelo del niño que está en brazos de su hermana TODO MOJADO...Bueno...lo de Salgado me llena de orgullo...y debo creerles a otros amigos que dijeron algo parecido...Otro KAPO ABRAZO para UStedes y es todo...por ahora....LUIS

So good to see you back, Luis, and with a stunning documentaryphoto showing the unfortunate of this world. It always hits the heart when seing children like this out in the world. So much more should be done for them. Sigh.
A style - well documenting life of people among minorities is a good way to go because in that way you can show more than plain beauty and wow-effect, but really portray something that needs to be changed and maybe also show how well life can be if something is done.
Other than that I don´t think you should limit yourself just to have a photographic signature so to speak. Unfold yourself - maybe work with different themes, so you never limit your artistic nerve.
I wish you well and I look forward seing more:-)

Hola Luis, cómo es eso de que estás en crisis?...:-), bueno por ahí uno está en crisis permanente y eso no debería ser malo, las crisis debieran ser siempre creativas...mmm, pero como se puede tener un estilo si se está en cambio permanente, se puede buscar un nuevo estilo cuando se ha tenido uno, quién sabe….dudas existenciales de esta noche cálida de verano!..:)
La foto es un impactante documento, sin dudas, un documentos que nos debería necesariamente llevar a la reflexión y a la vergüenza, porqué no se puede ser mero espectador de estas cosas tristes y en cierto sentido atroces, sin dudas algo hay que hacer además de “ver” pasivamente, al decir de Susan Sontag en “el dolor de los demás”, te lo menciono solamente porque descuento que lo leíste, si no es así, te lo recomiendo urgentemente, es un libro que un fotógrafo debe leer, en fin, por un mundo sin pobres Luis, y que la declamación no quede en eso!
