You're right Dave, only oceans have "official" tides. However, I was shocked by the size of this lake! There are sandy beaches, and the "tides" are caused by the wind and boaters. Other than the lack of salt, it was just like visiting the ocean! It's definately a must-visit for vacation. :) ~Sheryl

Really cool patterns... but from a tide? I thought only oceans had tides, is Lake McConaughy THAT big? Hmm. something to ponder for me.
