Late in the night again, returning home with the train, and sitting in one of those separated rooms between the waggons. The very strong red drew my attention, and I thought perhaps I keep it in very lazy focus in order to visualize the own inability to see anything clearly anymore.

I see what you mean, really. Your crop gives the image an excess of geometric look, and as such it is very interesting.
This series is about "The daily run" - from home to work, form work to home, and you never see the sun, especially in winter time. So, though your crop creates a new kind of image out of the original, and admittedly a very intersting one, this way it would rather fit some other series but not really the reality of the running worker.
