It's by Peter Watson, and the ISBN is 0753820897. It's about 1000 pages long, so I will probably be an dribbling old man before I finish it... that's if I live that long... the radio has just said that a longship has been spotted off Dover...

Good that the hairs didn´t disappear though and that some of the fine cavemanners are still there;-)) Okay now I´m finally serious- this book sounds really fascinating. Who´s the author? I have bought a book that I´ll soon read about all kinds of theories and inventions throughout time.

This reminds me of cave paintings... only these are modern, evidence of our own times to be rediscovered by people in the distant future... I am reading a very fat book at the moment called 'Ideas - A history from fire to Freud' which is an entire history of ideas, from pre-history to the present day... so I'm thinking about the birth of civilisation a lot at the moment... how hairy men in caves developed into hairy men in cities...
