About And no where to go.
This was taken at a construction site where they are converting part of the foothills into subdivisions.
to me this is a sad process as parts of the walking trails have been removed.

Michael,
I really like that name.
And if I don't get out and shoot that is exactly what it is, Opportunity lost!

Thanks for the comments and ideas, they are greatly appreciated!

Hi, Mike. Here is a name to consider for your project: Opportunity Lost.

To answer your question, so far I've only posted one shot from my series. It's the first image, or the "land before machine" foundational shot. I call it August's End. You can check it out in my UseFilm portfolio.

Good Luck in your shooting,
-Mike.

Thanks for the comment!
I haven't shot any of this area in a while but your idea really strikes home with me.
I haven't been shooting many pictures lately but this idea really is unique and I think that the average person does not see the destruction, not only of the recreation area but also the wildlife habitat that is no longer there! You are right these do need captured and documented....
If nothing else, for me !

Did you have any of those images, that you were talking about, posted here? I would love to see your work in that respect!

Mike -- Great photojournalistic take on the situation. Keep taking pictures as the project continues. It'll be of great interest to you and others in the area in years to come. I live in a similar circumstance. I've been documenting the progress of the build-out of our little corner of the Salt Lake Valley. My first image showed the original state of the foothills. I'm capturing subsequent material showing the phases of build-out. One day I may bring them all together in a project for presentation in the local community. You may consider doing something similar.

Take care,
-Mike.

Thanks for the comment.
I think it's actually a big sewer pipe, but I get your idea!
Thanks for the suggestion!

very good depth of field, they are all in focus all the way back to the last one; you could crop the top some to cut off that white building

I know it seem like people have no place to live anymore. Nice shot and capture.
