About TOO LATE!!

Mechanical teeth bite deep, bite deep
Wounds in the earth, I weep, I weep
At what cost, humankind, so vain
I hang my head, in shame, in shame

Where nature once turned, for all to see
A concrete jungle for all will be
What price can we put on the earth we bleed?
When we rip up her soil and all her seeds

Ground like dust, our bones, our bones
And Mother Nature will scorn, will scorn
When the waters run dry, where will we be then?
When all life force drains for the cost of men

Arrogance and greed flow through our veins
Mankind the masters of our own bane
A ruin we leave in our wake, our wake
We learn our lesson when it’s too late

Levels altered to emphasise the rays... & to show you what my eye could see.

Been looking for a photo I could match with this poem for quite some time now... This one was shot with my camera phone... a definate decisive moment. Thanks for looking x

You picked a great picture to go with the poem. Emphasizing the rays worked very effectively. Your vcell phone takes a decent shot.

Cool lens flair. I agree the levels could be altered a bit more to bring out some more detail and give it a distinct coloration unto itself, but I don't think Joe's is a destination (merely a possible direction).

Thank you Doyle.

The funny thing is... if I had tried to take this with my Lumix I think it would not have worked so well :) lol

(worth having a camera phone... some shots you just can't set up)

Keep well & bright x

Wow Sue. I still don't own a camera phone so really can't critique not knowing the possibilities . . . but VERY nice!

I like the way you caught the rays of light, Sue, and I agree with your sentiments perfectly!

As CC, I thought even on a bright low gamma monitor, the center might still be too dark. So I boosted that and removed a little of the blue cast, above. Interesting in that this came from a cell phone. It's not a bad photo, at all.
