Annemette - Yeah, I was thinking a line of votive candles on a dark wall in the night.

You read my mind. I was actually considering using candles because I have so many all around thinking that they would make a nice effect also compared to the more hard lightsources.

Annemette - Yeah, christmas lights don't work as well because they are hard to get in a line. I did some with a row of candles that came out nice.

Yes, I really like this work, Luxpoet. Some of your best in my opinion. I still havenīt found any lights like this, but maybe one day I must find all kinds of lightsources in my home and line them up and play with the lights. Curvy with depth is what Iīm wishing for.

Annemette - Pretty much. In this case the rope lights were run along beside some stairs in a strait line. I used that strait line and moved my hand to create the lines with each bulb; it was a small nudge in the middle of the motion, a small wiggle, which gave the curve. You can see how altering the wiggle alters the curve by comparing the three shots I posted from that shoot:

The one called Brambled is also from this shoot but clearly using a different technique.

This was one of the photos, I mentioned. I like the wavy part and how all the lights follow each other in this smooth way. I guess it takes lots of little lights next to each other making this, James?

Fred - Thanks. I'm able to get quite a lot out of these rope lights. I did a test series tonight looking at exposure levels, and so I have some new rope lights ideas. When I'm able to get a membership here I intend to make a portfolio just for my rope lights pictures.
