Yeah, maybe I should have been less subtle with the warning. I was all, "You did this in ONE take? What's wrong with you? You computer COMES with a video-editing program of some sort - why aren't you using it?! AHHHHHH!!!!"
Hope it wasn't too much torture.

I appreciate the link Morgan. I just got a little lucky and purchesed a big flash from 17th street photo. I plan on buying a soft box to go with that as well. And for the record, Very long-winded was a harsh understatement. Thanks again!

Meh. I've known tons of people who use that technique. It works quite well if you use the right material.

The guy is VERY long-winded on the video (he did the whole video in one take...), but there's a lot of good information in it on the rest of the website.

Thanks for the comment Morgan. The lighting was actually the camera's onboard flash that I slightly softened with a tissue and a rubber band. It looked a little ridiculous, but the result was worth it.

Excellent macro - perfect depth of field, colors, and tones. Were you using natural lighting?

Hi Derick, What a stunningly beautiful picture!!! The composition and the clarity combined with the marvellous red flowers and that divine butterfly makes this a wonderful photo indeed, really well done!! 7++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sylvia
