Thank you all for your comments. This was taken early in the morning. I believe I was using a Nikon N90s with a 28-70 mm zoom. I probably shot this at f/8 or f/11 at 28 mm.

That's rather imposing, isn't it? It reminds me of the Chief, up in Squamish...
I think the texture of the rockface and it's colour make it stand well off the duller trees and sky/clouds. It seems to me that the sunlight angle suggests this was taken near, but a bit before, sunset... might hanging around a little while longer have brought some more interesting colour to both the sky and rockface?
You may have specifically not been looking for that, but that added touch of unusual colour is one thing I personally am always looking for in landscape photography.

Breathtakingly beautiful! Do you recall the time of day you took this and what type of lens you used? Looks like telephoto to me. Very crisp image....beautifully exposed....nice subject. Thank you! Can't wait to go back there myself and take a few more photos.
