Hi Saby, thanks for your kind comments. This was taken from the PHE (Public Health Engineering) Bungalow's first floor balcony. We got up early for the safari and while others were getting ready, I saw this amazing scene and decided to try out my luck.

I stumbled upon this photo and it revived a hundred memories - Jayanti. This holds the right mood of the night fall in Jayanti. I can almost visualize the silhouette of the elephants coming out of the forest for a drink at the river. was this taken from the PWD bunglow or the one next to it? Amazing. love it.

Dear Bhabesh, first thing - this photo is actually not suitable for viewing in Usefilm - the reason being that the background is grey here - this needs to be viewed against a full back background to be able to view the intricate details that are there in this photo. A difficult photo for a monitor too, given the fact that different monitors will have different brightness contrast levels. However, I believe this is one of my top shots of the trip, though I know for sure very few would initially like it, especially as a thumbnail, because of the darkness, the lack of color, and being slightly unconventional abd not catchy by any terms. The photo also has technical flaws in terms of post processing, wherein the stitch lines are exposed on a bright monitor, but that can be corrected easily. The essence of this photo, to me, is it's monochrome production - nothing in color would have stand out IMHO. This photo was shot at around 5:45 am in the morning, before sunrise. A little more bright, and the photo would have lost the mood. I have, in fact, tried to capture the lack of color in the atmosphere and the real monochrome layering of the mountains, and hence shot it in monochrome. The ISO is 800, the exposures are 1/13sec, F3.5. Thanks for your comments.

Rishi taught me how to stitch photos properly and here is the output using photostitch. However, I noticed that the exposure went up.
