I would like the original version better if those sticks weren't there on the lower right, I find them distracting. Lovely lighting, nice blue on the snow, nice light on the far shore. Was this taken in the morning? I've been looking for snow shots this winter...but we've had no snow. Have to keep double checking that I'm still in Canada.

I have to strongly disagree to the previous comment above. The whole point of this image is to include the footprints in the foreground and it is part of the composition that I created. This is my style of photography I choose to do.

The foot prints in the front of this shot are not really to my liking. I love the top/background, however.
Here's my cropped version. It's a totally different picture, but I really like this part of it.
