About A reworked version of a previously uploaded image Pelican Eyes. New crop suggested by Mel Brackstone, who has a good 'eye' for these things. Thanks Mel.

Well this cropping really confused me, and it fits so much into the project! Many congrats for the prize!

Hi, AJ. Thanks for your comments. I was about 16 feet away from the flock. They were waiting to be fed and are pretty tame. I used my 70-300mm Lens at full tele and then cropped. This is the original pic, uncropped. Cheers, Ann.

Interesting angle on the flock at rest. I think I'd suggest a different 'duotone' and cropping though.

This is excellent, Ann, and well-deserving of a BIP: congratulations!

Having made my first attempt at big-birds close-up yesterday (with little success), I am interested to know how close you were here, and how much you cropped. Was your original "Pelican Eyes" the full shot?

I had seen the previous image and even though i thought it was perfect, i do think the cropping here Does really improve it somehow. Plus the black framing has given more debt to it too. Great work, Beautiful picture. Congrats
