A really nice shot of coffee! So sharp and clear and nicely decorated with a little flower. The light feels a little bit grayish perhaps... would be even nicer with a little bit warmer light I think.

I'll have two thanks..... Crisp and clear and the yellow really adds. A touch of green I assume from the scan though.

Yes thank you Hayri I'll have one too . !! Is it Erzatz coffee ? that is made with dandelion root :)). What drew me to this image was the neat simplicity of it . A good shape well presented .

Hayri, I have to agree about the reflections in the glaze, and the murky surface of the coffee. A black coffe with a swirl of white cream would look good, but you might waste a few litres getting that perfect swirl ;-)
Good work

Hi Hayri, How did you know coffee and milk is my favorite starter of the day? Great, I just love the simplicity of this shot that shows how easy it is sometimes to create a fine photo while we are having a cup of our daily neccessities. The only thing I might consider to do is to rotate the pic by 180 degrees, coz I'm right handed...but, hey, just leave it as it is...I'll have it with my left hand this time... my right hand in just now riding on the mouse!! :-))) Cheers and have a nice day! Ferenc.

Nice still life arrangement and the small dandelion is a nice touch. The lighting and the color cast, mostly on the right side, is creating some less than ideal color harmony here. If the coffee were black instead it might not be as bad. The whites are just not white but rather a broad range of hue variations are showing across the image. The reflections are also distracting due to the patterns resulting from the light source (window?).
You don't give any tech info regarding film or digital and light source. With properly balanced film/lighting the dandelion would have a more pleasant yellow instead of the "dirty" yellow/green it now has.
To sum it up...a very nice arrangement that needs more control of light balance and "tame" those reflections and go with black for the shot and when done add the cream and enjoy!
