Wow it's perfect Tim, the color saturation, the light, lovely view and details, excellent exposure...the sharpness and clarity are amazing really. Lovely blues and golds...nice!!!
Where's the snow? My sister is in Red Deer, Alberta and she sent me a picture the other day of snow made sand dunes in her front yard...I get chills just thinking of it.
Always nice to see you Tim, thanks for stopping by. I've been drawing lately, would love to send you a link to my pbase gallery but I don't think we can send links. I could post it but this isn't the forum for that, and it's very rough still in the early stages.:)

Hi James,
Yes in the last 20 years or so southern Alberta has had much more mild weather with the snow melting not long after falling. I know it seems strange to me too. Most winters there is more dry grass showing then snow.

very nice photo for sure. is there always that little snow out there at this time of year? seems a bit strange to see so little of it, almost looks like the tail end of spring there.

Nice series Tim, we thought about visiting this area when we visited Canada a few years ago, perhaps if I had seen shots like these we would have - but then we would have had to miss something else.
Good details in the shadows in this one and I like the light on the grass in the foreground.

Hi Michael,
Yes the D80 seems to allow for more vibrancy and the 12-24mm nikon lens is just super. I have been very happy with it so far. But i am getting dust bunnies running around in side now as well, but not to bad so far. Also I am using the ND filter made by Lee Filters to balance out the sky which has been making the PS work much easier.

Gosh dang, these new images from the D80 are just stunning - I think you handle it well. Don't know what you are doing differently but the colors and the detail is just amazing.
