Hi Sam, The osprey is a cosmopolitan species, which means that they can be found around the world, specially where there are good nesting sites and appropriate supplies of fresh fish that can be caught near the water surface. Osprey are found along coastlines, rivers, lakes, and even man-made reservoirs anywhere in North America. If you see a map of Osprey's distribution in North America, you'll find out that they are only present along coastal areas and absent in the rest of the country. As an interesting fact, Lake Istokpoga in Florida hosts more than 225 active nests, and it's believed to be the greatest density of Ospreys in the world. Ok buddy, I hope this info helps. Take care. Yamil

You're a brave man to kayak with your camera, Yamil. Nice view of the immature Osprey, great catchlight in the eye.

An unusual eagel capture, Yamil, but the detail is excellent, as well as your composition! He looks a little wind blown there! Dave.
