Hi Aurore, my point of "mixing" gold-colored texture in my cats wall are: i'm very impressed by the medieval art, esp. those painting which "sanit" are "surround" by gold (for eg.: Madonna from the Annunciation, The Wilton Diptych.) but at the same time, i'm so depressed to know that's also a DARK age for cats, cats are mistreated, mis-understanded and suffer for "being" (not same as the street cats life but to me almost). So, i start to imagine that cats are all behind those "gold" but they'll get out of it.. one day...

i really want to express this idea in my "works", though i don't know if i can make it or not.. so it's good to hear from all comments. Thanks, sept sea.

Hey this one really does it for me. The only suggestion I have is a tighter crop. The texture of the ground makes it obvious that the cat is outdoors in a dirty place and the rest of the background I find unneccesary. I think cropping in an inch or two on all sides would be nice, maybe using the rule of thirds to place the cat. Otherwise I love the texture and the protective curl the cat is in and the resigned look on it's face (to me, anyhow). It doesn't look entirely unhappy but it doesn't look hopeful either. The can on the paper really complements the cat's expression and surroundings perfectly. I still don't understand the purpose of the random gold-colored texture you place on your images. Can you explain it for me? Are you trying to make the photos look as beat up and forgotten as their subjects? A very nice peice indeed, this one tells more of a story than the last one I critiqued, but as a body of work they are all spectacular. Would be great in a gallery... good luck getting it there!
