I don't really get it. You say it's not manipulated yet I see the horizon passing through his shoulders when the monitor is brightened. Also, if the shutter were fast enough to make him silhouette then why is there so much color and detail in the sand on the near side of his foot? Isn't it equally in dark shadow?

If you know something about fishing you know that this is the real scene. Not staged. This is the perfect hour to seabass fishing. The fishing rod he is handling must be something for a light action, with maybe lure. And the oceans seems perfect to that kind of fishing from the beach. I do that at dawn, with good results. As for the picture it is perfect full of motion anda life. Congrats pfor the distinction Roland.

I think this is a wonderful shot. I have to say that there's many comments here about its manipulation. I personally think that the ability to alter images in photoshop has good and bad points - it always leaves people wondering "did he, didn't he". If it has been altered, then maybe you could post the original because I have a feeling it would be wonderful anyway. Great shot!

The manipulation is way too much, really ruins it from me. Tone it down and you would have something here. The guy looks like he is wearing a dry suit for scuba diving, way too manipulated.

La composition ici est très sympa mais là je dois avouer que je ne suis pas trop fan. Ton travail de PS n'est pas excellent. La silhouette est coupée en trois zones de tonalité sombres différentes. Ton ciel, ajouté certainement (je ne suis pas contre), ne colle pas bien. Avec l'horizon, sur la mer, les nuages ne commencent pas comme ça directement dans l'eau, tu as toujours une bande, plus ou moins fine au-dessus de l'eau sans masses nuageuses. Enfin, j'ai fini, les couleurs ne fonctionnent pas trop bien ensemble. Désolée... J'espère que tu ne m'en voudras pas, mais l'amitié c'est ça ! S'enthousiasmer pour ce qui est superbe et dire, sincèrement et amicalement quand c'est moins bien. Tu es d'accord ?
