About Yes... this is what's holding up the old fence. I lightly sepia toned only the rope (not in PS) to add a bit of colour to it. Hopefully the rest of the print shows up the details of the hand printed image. I often find that when scanning images, they look fine in PS but lose something when loaded here. Don't know why!

What do you mean "used to be done" Colin? LOL!
It still is if one has a mind to do it!

Thanks, mate!

This is real impressive!!I like the composition and the way the rope almost comes out from the fence, as if they have been born together and now trying to separate.Superb tonality which enhances the texture. One of your very best, Aniko!

I agree, it's mainly the scanner. However, I think the texture here is still pretty clear
Awesome shot, very nice subject, well composed image.
Good work again Aniko

You have just confused my "down under" brain, Dave... lol!

What do you mean you've been trying to find this everywhere?

No, it is the scanner for sure. The greatest proof of it was when "Pianist" came up looking blown out at the back of the pianist's head. Sometimes the scanner refuses to scan slides or negs in any resonable fashion... and no matter how I alter the settings on it, it has a mind of its own... sigh... I actually got it to enjoy scanning B&Ws for a couple of days, and then it hated colour. Now it hates everything! My old scanner always did a good job 'til it "died". I have been "playing" in PS for years and years, so I don't think it is my technique. I have also considered the "saving for web" as a possible added problem... I test everything. I have posted images saved for web, and otherwise. With this scanner, it makes no difference, but I appreciate your thoughts very much. If you didn't live "up over", I could show you personally! We could always have fun axing the scanner together! :)

More Love to ya!
Ani :)

I like it! And I've been trying to find this everywhere, just haven't had much luck.

You know, your comment about "looks fine in PS but loses it" makes me wonder. I think your problem might be in PS technique, not with the scanner. I'll have to get with you and see how you go about finishing out the PS process. You're not "saving for the web", are you?

Thank you so much Jan!

I used a cotton bud dipped in sepia toner to colour the rope. I'm so pleased you feel it worked out well.

Warm Appreciation,
Aniko :)

Great texture and the sepia (done by hand) is perfect.
