Lol.
Great shots for the commercial work.
My mother in law actually has one of these for health reasons. After seeing this, I now have more respect for the photographer making these product shots for such items!
To me it was obvious that it was a computer mockup box as how would you fit that big of a chair in such a small software box?

Your welcome, Phillip. To the others who responded to my comment: I was just expresssing my true opinion. Feel free to go to my photos and say whatever you want. That's why we're here.

Jonathan, absolutely right ;=] Hopefully others will feel that way too and I will get to take more pictures. Thanks for the comments.

Hey, it did what it was intended to do. I DID say that I know where to get a chair for my bathtub now. Isn't that the response that this image is supposed to provoke?

a good piece of comercial work...not sure how to rate something like this but i will say the box with the slight reflection makes an excellent presentation

Pigeon Point Lighthouse, Pacific Coast, about halfway between San Francisco and Santa Cruz...taken about 10 :00 a.m.

Jonathan, it was not meant to make one think, other then to get them to understand what was in the box and perhaps entice them to purchase the item. That is why I put it in the commercial category. As Kostas said below "I don't think that this is an image that's meant to provoke any emotion."

Jeff Roush a well known commercial photographer friend calls it "Trash for Cash" and while maybe not pretty like landscapes, portraits and abstracts that are seen on this site, it does show a sample of what most photographers make a living at. Very hard to make a living off of Fine Art photo sales.

Adam, yes the box was a computer generated composite to show the client for their approval. I was hired to shoot the photos that went on the boxes. There were about 25 products in the shoot that took place over 2 days at the client location. The bathroom was a 3 sided set.

Nice job on the little images. I assume the "box photo" is a digital composite, right? Most companies don't have an actual box to shoot before the image of it is needed so they're usually just done by skewing the digital files and merging them together.

That's what I took the "about" to mean. Let us know if this box was actually shot like this (you already told us you didn't shoot the box). I'm just curious now that it's been brought up.

Jonathan, I don't think that this is an image that's meant to provoke any emotion. Perhaps, that is the reason this image doesn't do much for you. However, looking at the subject and the photo itself, this is a product shot. Usefilm isn't only about pretty landscapes... :-)

Phillip, you have lit this very well. You can always tell that a pro - and a good one for that matter - has shot this.

Well done!

It seems pretty good technically but it doesn't do all that much for me. However now I know where to get a chair for my bathtub!!!
