nice photo you have here laura, the only thing i would have done different was to shoot this shot with the window straight to the side, that would have cut down your light at least 40 % im starting to do more b&w photos and it seems they make light stand out more than in color, just my opinion. great shot laura

not bad. a few things:
1. a bit bright still behind the youngest of the three and i would have tried to clone out those tree branches behind her head. easily done and aesthetically would be more pleasing without them there.
2. the hand coming out from behind the shoulder of the grandmother,
3. that paper item blocking the hand of the lady on left.
4. the sunglasses are a distraction.
these are all small corrections/preferential changes i would have made, sometimes we dont see them when we shoot the photo tho. otherwise nice and sharp. a good photo.

Hello, Thank you for commenting. As I stated to Dave, I do not have 'fill flash' capabilities with the camera used for this photo.

The expressions on their faces are very natural and nice looking. In this sort of shots (windows or light in the back) you very often get a bit overexposed result. Maybe do a light measuring on the window and than a fill in flash for the portrait, maybe this could solve it a little. But still a very nice portrait Laura, no problem with that. Take care and have a nice weekend,
Klaas

Thank you Dave. This was shot with my canon power shot. No way to use fill flash. I did use the built in flash on the camera.

A good portrait of these women, Laura! I think your editing turned out very well for the skin tones and exposure of the faces. This is a good case for fill flash at the time the shot is taken to get the best results. Dave.
