LOL! Love the enthusiasm! I am grinning NOW for sure. Anything exciting happen while I was gone?
It's gonna take me a few days to process everything I learned but it's so great to get back to my computer. I was chomping at the bit to try the techniques I was learning. Thankfully, they give you this giant book that contains all the notes from each class (even the ones I didn't take) so, I can review easily.

Yeah, it's 6:54 now. Must be like 10 or 11 there, huh? Staying up late? Yeah this is my last night before I go. I leave early in the morning. It's a nice drive actually. It's only 4 hours to my brother's then I spend the night and we leave for Vegas early the next morning. It's really a blast. I always learn lots.
Hmmm... I'm sure that we DO have an audience... I mean, what else is there to do but read these silly posts?! Right?! LOL! Keep it clean!!! Way Giant Hugs! ~R

Illinois hasn't been the same since....LOL...I'm trying to get all the zero's in on that hug...never was any good at math...how many is that? It's an outpatient procedure. Yeah, 95% is good. The problem is that the 5% is complete loss of hearing in that ear. Still, I'm confident in this doctor (he's never had a complete failure with this surgery).
It's been a hectic day for me getting things done that need to be done before I can go to Vegas. Now I'm packing and doing laundry. I should be MIA around here till the 12th or so.
I guess my day is still in full swing when your day is ending, huh? Rest up. Relax. Don't get too stressed. GIANORMOUS HUGS :) ~R

Actually I don't know about that procedure, my specialty is open heart recovery. I'm glad you're getting it done Rocky, a 95% success rate is excellent. Sounds like a good decision!!
I was working on some images, converting to black and white and just playing around. Learning and honing the eye...LOL. Today was exhausting, PT, doctors appts etc...:(

Oh, don't feel bad. I just wanted to rattling your chain. I'm going to get the stapendectomy surgery in November. I'm sure you know what that is. It has a 95% success rate which is great.

The hearing IS actually going (well, it's gone actually in my left ear). Are you psychic? (Now, don't you feel bad for saying that?) :)
I know you're paying attention, you have incredible observational skills. Is this a prerequisite for the medical profession? I'm "prone" to say anything. :) I suppose could have said I prostrated myself.

Man we're going to run out of adjectives pretty soon for these hugs. No it's because you used the word prone in one of your comments, and we use that in the medical profession a lot, so I wondered.
That was brave to do a vertical crop on a horizontal image, I do like your reasoning. I had read where you said that in the about...just want you to know I'm paying attention OLD man...LOL. It does seem like a bit of a mystery, huh? LOL! No. there's no great plan for how I put those dark borders. These were originally printed for 11x14 but instead of cropping part of the picture away to fit that aspect ratio, I push the borders out. It's just the dimension of my camera sensor (not quite 3:2). I just used the same 11x14 image but reduced it for the web. I suppose I should have just taken it out on these. Doh! LOL!
The original image of this was actually a horizontal shot and I cropped it to be vertical. I do that sometimes. In this case, I felt it drew the viewer into the image more.
Ah, now I see why you asked me about being in the medical profession, beacuse YOU are! :) I thought maybe I was saying something that was medical sounding. LOL!

Hi Rocky, so you've studied fine art...that's great, you're very lucky. Wish I'd have done that instead of going to Nursing School. Can you tell me all you know so I can add it to my Rocky Tips sheet...LOL...This is wonderful, I love all the textures and the warm tones...nice lines, angles, and curves, this one looks like it would have been difficult to decide where best to crop it. Your framing is interesting too, I've noticed when you do a horizontal image you add to the top and the bottom and with a vertical you add to the sides...is there a theory behind that or is that just the Rocky touch? LOL...hope you're having a good day. Big hugs...:)
