Hi James,
Glad to hear from you dear friend, I missed your work man :0)
Actually, the setting was as follows:
1. The camera was fixed on a tripod just close to my dining table, the camera was mounted with a micro, f/2.8 fixed Nikon lens 105mm.
2. A yellow metallic tape was put obliquely apposing the camera just close enough to have the focus on one of the marks and numbers of the tape(with cm metering in the upper part and inches metering in the lower part of the tape).
3. The tape was lighted with an X-ray film viewer (made up of a flourescent lamp covered with a white plastic sheet) also very close to the tape.....
N.B. Not mentioning that the camera white balance was fixed to flourescent lighting.
4. I tried to wash-out the fore- and the backgrounds of the numbers with the minimal apperature value which I could get to achieve a clear and a well focused numbers (at least 10 captures was tried to achieve this result).

I hope I answered your question, anyways, if still in need of any information don't hesitate my friend, thanx again for your concern buddy.

Bye,

Khaled.

NB, I'm travelling to Saudi Arabia tonight for Umrah (like pilgrimage) and I'll be back within a couple of weeks few days just before my Associate Professor Degree promotion committee meeting....

Take care friend,

Khaled.

PS Thanks for all you help and suggestions with my 'The Piano Teacher' image. I reworked it, however, I could not get it as good as you had it. I have done my best. I deleted the previous version, and reloaded the revised version - my third attempt! LOL This one will have to do!
Once again, thank you!!
