I considered calling this shot “Maybe Tomorrow”, but I thought just the shows theme song title might be a little too obscure for most people. Although, there is a distinct possibility that most won’t remember or even know the show, especially anyone not from North America.
I guess you are one of the few that really liked this picture; nobody else chose to comment on it.
As for the composition, I was going for a certain look when I cropped this image. It reminded me of an old Canadian television show called: The littlest hobo; in which a dog went to a different town in each episode and helped someone who lived there. At the start of the show while the theme song is playing it shows a shot of the dog walking down a dirt road with high grass on either side. So in cropping this shot, I tried to come as close to the shot on the television show as I could, or at least the way I remembered it. However, if you have never seen the show (and I doubt you have), it probably wouldn't mean anything to you beyond the pure aesthetics of the image.
Hi Ed, I actually like this image. The nice sloping path takes you to this straggler. As far as composition, I think moving the camera slightly down to get more of the bottom and less of the sky may give it more impact. Very good shot Ed, take care!
