Jeroen: Fair enough . . . then you got what you could get . . . although . . . well . . . if you'd yell "LOOK!" and point your walker might have turned . . . LoL!
Douglas: Thanks . . . you should be aware by now that these are re-cycled on ocassion if the cue is clear . . . but I appreciate the compliment.

No 'Pull' at all Doyle because Jeroen is in charge here especially after ONE AND A HALF YEARS! :))
Congrats for having your exact same 'Featured Critique' on the Front Page AGAIN by the SAME PHOTOGRAPHER!
Now is that a coincidence, does it make you feel cheep as in used, or are you just going to enjoy the 'Exposure' (Pun Intended of Course) because you do deserve it ... that's for sure! :))

Sorry I didn't get back earlier Doyle. To the left was a big jumble of pipes and equipment used to repair the beach there after storm damage, further to the right a seabreak would have disrupted the image.
The contrail I left in because I don't believe in doctoring images (the most I'll do is play with colour balance and contrast).

I really do like this Jeroen. I think it's the colour blocks that attract me the most here. Instant appeal and just beautiful. Congrats to both you and Doyle for the Featured Critique :)
Cheers Rina.

Jeroen: I like the rich, well saturated colors in this - the horizon line and focus seem perfect. I do think that the beach walker would have enabled you to get much more imact if you had managed to capture him going the other direction, though. I am, also, intrigued by the way the wet sand seems to be circling around a slightly higher sandbar--almost like the viewer is about to get wet. Not knowing what was to the left, I can only speculate but (what if) you could have done a slight left-ward pivot. The contrail from the aircraft would be eliminated and the beach opened in front of the beach walker, not behind him. Very good shot all in all though.

Nice wide open shot, colours are very vivid in the sky, it's a shame that there wasn't a little more reflection in the wet sand as that would add a nice point of interest. Main critisism is that the man walking is about to walk out of the frame, walking into the frame would probably have worked better in my oppinion.
