Hi everybody, Yes, there was a catch light which I cloned out in PS. Now I understand that was a great mistake. In future ofcourse I'll think twice. As far lighting is concerned, I used Nikon SB 26(bounced). The image is not cropped much(as far as I recollect, not at all). In any case this is total faliure for me as I wanted to highlight the eyes, the most beuatiful parts of Shaluk (my daughter). I'll look into the matter why I did this. Thanks for your valuable and impartial comments.

Hello Partha, Interesting photo. Did you crop it? It seems you are trying to get attention to the eyes, but the lack of catch light is a trifle bothersome. I am wondering how this was done. The lighting looks like it is from the front. Did you use photoshop to get the catchlights out?
A good potrait none the less.

Hi Partha...this is a very interesting composition the only thing that bothers me are the boys eyes. There is obviously a direct light source coming from the front but there is no catchlight in his eyes which i think are needed in this image to bring life to it.
I would be interested in knowing what the light source was here and if you cloned out the catchlights in his eyes? Maggie
