I just got a similiar X-Ray about a month ago from our youngest son. Swallowed a penny, had to have an endoscopy performed to remove it. All is well with him now, but his grandparents have named him "piggybank," and they love to call and ask "if theres any CHANGE in the boy!" Good luck to your son for a speedy recovery.

My word! I think that an adult would suffer with that never mind a child! I do hope he recovers 100% and that he doesn't do it again!

OMG Tracey! I have the exact same X-ray of my daughter. She swallowed a US quarter while playing a game of flicking it up into the air and trying to catch it in her mouth. Went straight down her throat!!! Silly girl. She too didn't say anything for a while because she was afraid of reprisals. Had to have an Endoscopy to get it out. Boy-oh-boy... kids huh? :)) Hope Thomas recovers well soon. All the best to you both.
Cheers Rina

Oh my!!! That coin looks big! Poor kid- hope he is all better now- is this one of your grandson's? Yikes! My daughter once shoved chow mein noodles up her nose- LOTS of them! We laughed all the way to the emergency room!
