ummm Anson very beautiful my friend! Such a moody landscape, I love the fog! Between the fog and the water you are drawn right into the image!!
Superb work indeed!

Terrific photo!! Nicely composed using the misty river to carry the viewers eye. The mist creates a nice mood. Excellent work

MAry: Thanks for the compliment on my work. This photo was taken at sunrise on a very damp, misty morning, fairly deep in the forest. I too, love to view your work, especially the landscapes. Landscapes are my favorites, and I will kick up the color on the Callaway Gardens shot when I print it. I appreciate your comments, coming from such a talented person. Anson

I love your work. This captures so well the feeling of the moist forest air. Your desaturation makes the colours look very real yet at the same time gives a slight air of mystery. Great combination.

Martin: I use a Photoflex, a drum scanner of sorts that does a great job. I do both 35mm and 6x7. A little slow, since you have to load all film one frame at a time. Anson

Anson,

Thank you my friend. What film scanner do you have?

Martin: In my opinion, I don't think you gain that much with a 645 over a good 35 mm film camera, including the Nikon F series, although the Bronica lenses are renowned for their sharpness. The 6x7 format picks up quite a bit in image size over the 35 mm, so I think I can tell the difference. I would stick with the 20D if you use good lenses, like Canon, on it. Regards. Anson

Anson,

Thank you for the info. Please let me pick your brain a bit regarding MF. I'm sure my Canon 20D shoots as good as my Nikon F series cameras, but do you think it will shoot as well as my Bronica 645? I know it's not a 6X7, but it's all I wanted to afford.

Thank you in advance for all of your help,

Martin

Martin: Great to hear from you again, by way of my desat photo! I scan my own positives, I don't shoot negatives. This pic was shot with Velvia 50. I have a real good scanner that I used regularly until digital came along. Anson

Anson,

Wonderful desat my friend. Do you scan your negitives yourself, or do you have a lab do it? The reason I ask is I really need to shoot more medium format, but don't know what to do.

Well done indeed,

Martin

Narabia: Glad you like this one; it is one of my favorites too. This version indeed has been desaturated a little. I always thought the original version had a little too much green, since my older printer did not print greens very well. Anson

le tue ambientazioni sono uniche. trasudano fascino e mistero.. sembrano fatte apposta per lo scenario di un film di paura..

Looks very primaeval - the kind of place you might bump into some prehistoric reptile chomping on the vegetation. A well-captured ambience.
