Susie, I have to fav this! I love star magnolias! My mum has one... it's in the background in one of my photos http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=856258 ... back when we had a promise of Spring too! I look forward to when her magnolia has these fluffy bunny tails again. This is a wonderful close up, Susie! I love the diagonal composition and the dof.

I wouldn't have known that this is supposed to be a future magnolia (a flower I love so much!!!) and I would have gone with the pussywillow! A great thing that you gave us an explanation!I love the background! And you made me wonder about our magnolias here, so I'm going to have a closer look! Best regards, Gabriela

Thanks so much Ann. I know what you mean, I love to see one of my friend's images on the front page too. I told Kathy I was tempted to rename the image Natures Paintbrush, and would have if I didn't have the title on the photo. I knew there was some reason I shouldn't put text on there. Grrrhh! Anyway, I appreciate your support. Thanks for the kind words! Susie

Looks like selective hearing is out the window at your house. Looks like a natural Q-Tip. No excuse now not to have clean ears. This bush sure puts out fuzzy buds. Nice clear picture with loads of detail. The twigs in the background makes for an natural back drop. Great framing. Kelly
