i recognized it as masada as soon as i saw it. i did this climb in the smmer of 1993 myself. quite hot as i remember. the shadows represent those who didnt live to tell the story.... nice representation.
best wishes in the new year rafi ~ james

That is a horrible decision to have to make. Depicting it in shadows is appropriate. Mary

Dear Rafi, although this new version is adjusted with a better contrast, but previous version seems more natural than this one does. Black parts of mountain are a little darker than what is expected. You may just adjust the contrast in human shadows. Thank you for your really kind comment – maryam

Hi Dear rafi, It's a very good idea to capture the shadow of walking men in the light natural background. I thought a lot on your shot especially with the description you have provided for it. I really enjoyed the story I made for myself by this shot. This shot could be an impressive shot full of great meaning. Thanks for sharing :)
Today is 1st January, I like to get this opportunity to wish you a very happy new year! May you get all the good things you wish for in the year ahead :) I hope to see a happier world in 2006, - Maryam

Nicely seen Rafi. I like the diagonal line of the shadows, I think maybe if you were to lower the brightness and up the contrast you would get more definition in the rock. Alison

Excellent shadow capture that seems to be echoed in the shapes in the rock, and a fascinating story to go with it. All the best, John
